Our bespoke service is an immersive process where you have the opportunity to choose every unique detail of your design.
From your initial consultation we will offer a design proposal with a variety of options, based on your unique brief.
We recommend our bespoke service for brides & beauty's with an open mind,
your final dress will not exist in this world until we make it exclusively for you.
Creating custom designs ensures quality and environmental respect at every stage. A luxury, design that can be passed down to future generations as an heirloom of wearable art.
Design Consultation
The first appointment is a fantastic opportunity for us to get to know you, to find out what you like, to talk about the theme of your event and to create that all- important first sketch. We have a wide range of beautiful fabric samples and will go through different shapes and styles of design to see what inspires you. Every single element of the design, including the fabric, can be personalised. While you are here you are very welcome to take a tour of the studio, look through our collections and see how your dress will be made.
measurements will be taken at your first consultation, lightweight clothing is recommended to be worn for accuracy.
Your measurements are then transferred onto a flat paper pattern which will then transform into a beautiful 3D design.
Toile Fitting
A magical moment where the sketch really comes to life. The toile, which is a cotton replica of your dress, At this stage we will critique the design and make any necessary adjustments. We will also finalise fabrics and drape them over the silhouette to define the lines of the dress and help you visualise exactly how the finished garment will look.
Final Fittings
when trying on your final dress for the first time, it may be very plain at this point, so we can take stages together ensuring you are happy with the placements of any embellishments. Finally after multiple fittings your bespoke Michael Adam design is made.
On final collection you will be gifted a signed sketch of your design, and your gown will be carefully placed in a custom printed M.A Garment bag. Ready to dance the night away at your special event.
